I've been shaving wit a Merkur 23c/180 for about one year. I've liked the razor, but have sometimes felt an improvement should be possible. I recently purchased an iKon Bulldog handle (Amazon) and --wow! The heavier handle has made a remarkable difference. The heft allows much better touch and control, with improved quality of the shave and reduced nicks and rough areas. I'm surprised that a handle makes such a difference, but in this case it's undeniable.
