The BIG LATHER Question !

Hello everyone,

I have a couple of questions regarding LATHER !



1) I have been reading many threads stating that your lather should not be Super thick. If it is super thick it is not good for shaving ! Why is this ? I love super thick yoghurt like lather !

2) I came to know that manufacturers list their ingredients in descending/decreasing order. Does that mean the Godrej cream has hardly any lanolin ? It is the second last ingredient before paraben ! How should one analyze a shaving soap/cream based on ingredients ?

3) And the most important question which is confusing me is that how do shaving creams DRY your face ? How do you test lather for dryness ? Do you wash your face with it ? Check if it's drying your face in between passes or leave the skin as is after shaving (not applying any AS) ?



I am from India and i have used almost all the creams available locally, and find none drying. I always use a ASB after my shaves so maybe that's why i could never find out which creams actually are bad and drying for me ?
