Hello all you experienced and newbies alike! Today was my very first wet shave with a DE razor and I have never had a closer shave. I barely felt the hair being removed, unlike the cartridge razors I've been using for 10+ years.
Started off whipping my TOBS Sandalwood with my Escali Pure Badger Brush (cheap one from Amazon, I'll upgrade soon) in my old ceramic soup bowl. Took out my brand new Edwin Jagger DE89lbl (the one with lines) and loaded it with a new Gillette silver blue blade and completed a 3 pass shave (WTG, XTG, ATG) with the only nicks being old cartridge razor induced ingrown hairs being leveled off. Splashed on some Proraso aftershave lotion (green) for a refreshing menthol cooling effect.
All in all, I'm hooked and I can't wait for tomorrow so I can be impressed again. Thank you B&B for your support and friendliness. You've made a believer out of me. Glad I switched.
