I really don't like the traditional arm type of watch. I am used to constantly using a digital watch at work or off work with military time set on it and I like having a rubber type band over leather and especially metal which loves to tug at my arm hair. They are generally more durable than a mechanical quartz type, and if you happen to scratch the face they are cheap to replace.
When digital watches first came out I do believe you could get away with going to a nice dinner or something...
