I thinking of learning to hone my razors...

So I am looking at putting together my 1st series of stones and wondering; At 1st glance, my buy in will be just shy of $300. So when I do the math...

• Approximately $30 for a honemeister to hone my raozrs
• I own 5 razors
• Razors will need to be honed maybe once a year
• So that's about $150 a year in fees
  
• 2 year return on investment

Not terrible, but still a bit of work. My other alternative is to by 10 more razors. So now I will be saving money.
