Hello,
to start it from the very begining, 40ies SS is a beautiful razor, with good balance, but its performance lacks for me, way too mild, like nothing happens while I'm shaving.
When I was on a hunt for the short handle Super Adjustable managed to grab a razor lot containing a BB and a handful of SuperSpeeds. One SS had massive plate loss and the base plate was corroded so it became a test bed for nickel removing and blackening.
