Ever-Ready F40 Restoration

After having sat on this brush for a couple of years, I finally decided to get off my butt and give it some TLC. I should have shot pics of the old knot still installed, and as I went through the process.

What I did (be it right or wrong):

Preparation:

1. Using a pocket knife, I trimmed the old knot down to the glue
2. Using a very small drill bit (maybe 3/64?) perforated the perimiter of the glue taking care not to touch the handle itself with the drill bit
3. Used a 3/8 drill...
