I've had a couple of ball end tech's for several years. One is a nickel birth year (1960) and the other is similar but a little older 1954 which is significant to me as the year my parents graduated high school.
I've always liked this razor but hadn't used it much since I obtained a Rockwell 6s and a fat boy some time ago. Last week I put one of them (ball end tech) back into use. I was amazed how good it shaves.
It's a smooth but efficient shaver. It's pretty good looking and feels good in the hand. It's cheap to buy I think I paid about $10 for each of mine. This razor was made for 40 years so there are probably millions of them out there. It's so simple and being made of solid brass I doubt you could wear one out.
Just thought I would throw a little love towards this humble little razor. IMHO it's a keeper.
