Merkur 38C decision

Hi there,

so I have decided to add a new razor to my arsenal to go with Feather Popular. Feather excellent for travel which I do frequent due to travel case but want to have a metal one as well.

have decided 38C looks pretty awesome based on reviews and I have relatively large hands. However now the decision - chromed or the matte black one. Anyone have any insights on how good the finish is on black one? And it it slippery? What are thoughts in general between the coloured and chromed editions?
