You can compare them yourself. Just go to the local mall and find the Art of Shaving store. If you show some interest in the creams and ask if they have a sample they will give you a packet that contains enough for a couple shaves. Unfortunately it's only the unscented version that they have but it'll allow you to experience the performance of the cream. The packets usually contains a small amount of shaving cream, preshave oil and aftershave balm.
I've tried AOS and CO Bigelow creams and found both to be very good. I'm not sure that I strongly prefer one over the other. I like the menthol in the CO Bigelow so that would likely be my preference. The CO Bigelow stuff is a lot less pricey but if you're selective on when you buy the AOS cream you can get a much better deal. Just sign up for their email notifications when you're in the store and they'll send you the codes for the sales. I think they still to the 25% off thing twice a year plus some other deals here and there.
The AOS Sandlewood scent is my all time favorite sandlewood scent from any vendor. The stuff smells great. I have the soaps though so I didn't try the cream. If you can get the old version Sandlewood soap from here http://ift.tt/2adWlcr then you'll be getting the older Valobra made soap that's a lot better than what's in the stores now. Plus the price for the soap here is half of what it is in the AOS stores. If you can do a soap over a cream you're a lot better off this way.
You can try the code WELCOMEBACK to save an additional 10% though I don't know if it still works. I've bought from this vendor many times in the past.
