Here is my second restoration attempt... this one with an Ever-Ready 500 brush with a really worn ugly "Badger & Bristle" knot that I replaced with a 22mm AMACK (Etsy seller) "Sunrise" synthetic knot. I would probably have set it a little deeper, but the material under the bristles was unbelievably hard... much more so than the first brush I did (also a vintage Ever-Ready). It took forever to drill it out with my Dremel-type tool and I feared that if I pushed it too far, I might damage the handle somehow. I used it today and it performed so well that I'm fine with leaving it as it is.
HERE'S MY REQUEST FOR HELP: I love the marbled green bottom, but the white top looks yellowed from age and detracts from the aesthetics to me. Is there anything I can clean the white top with to get rid of the yellowing safely? Thanks for any help!
