First Shave with a Semogue 1250

For my first boar brush, I got an Omega Pro 48. I've only had it for a few days but have really enjoyed it.

It's a bit large, however. So I thought I would try a smaller boar and got a Semogue 1250.

It's much smaller (see below), which makes it much easier to use for a face lather. At the same time, even though I loaded it for a good while, I didn't have enough soap for even two passes. But I'm not discouraged, I know my technique and the brush will both improve. Specifically, I think I'll need to load it quite a bit longer because it's smaller.

So far I prefer the thick bristles in the Omega, but the Semogue has great backbone and I know will soften up, and has fantastic color. I'll give them both a few weeks.
