Its been around 3 months since i got my first Boar brush. It was the Semogue 1305, the first two weeks i was impressed by the brush. Some little shedding every shave and some broken bristles here and there nothing major.
But after that two weeks when the brush started to break in even more, it started to be a very floppy brush. The shedding still continues every shave, and it takes a long time to build a good lather with the Semogue 1305. After cleaning the brush i noticed that the lather disappears completely. Over all i am disappointed with the brush, my Muhle Silvertip Fibre synthetic brush is miles ahead in terms of performance to the Semogue 1305.
Now i am looking for a new brush, but not sure what to get or what to expect from a Boar brush. I would like something with a proper backbone, not a floppy mess that is all over the place. I was thinking of maybe 2 brushes, 1 from omega and another one from Semogue... I live in Europe so the shipping fees could be a problem from USA / Canada and i would like to support the few shops that sell traditional shaving products in my country.
Any ideas and help would be appreciated.
