When I write a letter and address an envelope on my Crane stationary, the ink stays wet for a long time and usually smudges before it dries. Lately, I've been putting a piece of copy paper over my newly written letter and addressed envelope, and blotting the ink dry. Is it the paper? My ink? Is this typical and should 'blotting' now be my typical practice?
