The difference in the various G types is in the handles. The G1 has a cream colored handle, the G6 has a translucent amber handle. With the I type Schick went to a flat spring rather than the round spring used in earlier series. The G's are in the middle of the aggression curve and the I is usually considered to be slightly milder.
Generally, as the alphabet letter increases, the aggressiveness decreases.
