This morning my goal was to use my very best technique and get the best shave possible to wind up the week. I actually achieved an extra-DFS and I was pretty impressed with myself. In fact, I was pretty proud of the progress I have made over the last 2 months since I began wet shaving.
And it was with that heart full of pride that I started to wipe off the counter and knocked my favorite, hand crafted shaving bowl in to the sink and in to about 30 pieces. Pride goeth before the fall. I was speechless. I really, really liked that bowl.
To tell you how bad the Shaving Product Acquisition Disorder (SPAD) has become though (members of this forum help to fan this disorder among all who dwell here) I wasn't even done putting all the itsy bitsy pieces of my cherished bowl in to the trash when it struck me that this is not the end: its merely the beginning of being able to buy a new bowl !
For those of you who like using ash trays, dog bowls and whatever else will hold a little lather, this is a non-event.
But for me: I now get to go out and acquire a new bowl.
QUESTION : What do y 'all have as shaving/lather bowls? Pictures are appreciated of course. Anything to fan the flames of the SPAD
