This link (12 Nov) from Lifehacker is about razor cleaning. It recommends either a 50/50 solution of vinegar & water or a solution of 1 tspn of bleach in 4 cups of water. (Never combine bleach & vinegar.)
After soaking for 5-10 minutes, use a toothbrush while the metal's still submerged.
Nothing I haven't seen on B&B, but I like it that a somewhat popular site is promoting the care of safety (or, as they call them, "reusable") razors.
