Decided after reading some of the hype surrounding the entry level 3 piece Lord razor to purchase one and compare to many of my vintage Gillette and Schick razors (Krona and injector).
Also decided to compare to price comparable Morevile Soligen 3 piece razor KST-7. Price of both were similar.
They appear to have similar head geometry but are not interchangeable. Threads match allowing for handle swap.
I'm not a fan of either shave finding to much blade chatter from both with the MS being more stable and providing less blade chatter. I have mostly a gray beard which I believe requires a sturdier blade hold for a smoother shave feel.
I prefer the feel of my fat boy executive or Merkur 39c efficient without aggression and low blade chatter.
If I had to pick one it would be the MS. The handle alone is a worth the razor price. The Lord handle felt like hollow poorly plated pot metal. I have pictures with weights for comparison including weights.
These maybe ok razors for new shavers or those with a lighter beard, just not for me. Can't beat price either way. Morevile also has the KST-5 knurl handle which is listed being lighter than this smooth handle. Did not find the KST-7 to be slippery due to design.
