I am on vacation, and packed everything but my Personna blades! So, since I will be at my location for 2 weeks, I ordered a 10 pack of Feather blades to try. What the heck. In the meantime, I shaved with Cella and a Bic disposable 1 bladed razor. Amazingly got a great shave. I was impressed. What has happened is after a year of wet shaving, I have pretty good technique now, so that seems to help.
So, after all the horror stories I have heard about Feathers being too sharp, and cutting people to ribbons, I had some reluctance this morning. Lathered with Sterling and went at it. Wow! Super smooth, very controlled, and a terrific shave. I was highly impressed. Now, granted, this is just one shave, but it was terrific. I have 9 more of these, so I will use them for a while. The Weber stainless is moderately aggressive, but no problem with the Feather. Surprising. I think the Feather might be trouble for a beginner. But for an experienced shaver, it seems like a complete winner.
