New to all this From South Africa

Good day gentlemen and ladies,

Background: for my birthday last year my wife booked me for my first wet shave. Was truly skeptical since my first experience with a straight edge in Abu Dhabi left me with razor bumps for a week and I normally get razor burn when I shave.

Needless to say, after the hot towel I was as smooth as a babies behind and did not notice razor burn or any irritation, that is until I took to my face with my shaving apparatus at home. Went back to the barber for a nother shave, guess what ... no irritation, that is when I asked her for the post shave they use, and tried that at home, irritation again, big time.

Anyways long story short. I decided to take the leap, but in South Africa obtaining a double edged razor is very expensive and in the stores we only have two brands of blades. Unless you go online, but adding the shipping cost and the unreliable nature of our postal service ...

So, coming with my father from Abu Dhabi at the end of this week is a brand new Feather Popular, just to test the water, and a variety box blades ...

So heres to hoping that in time I can have an irritation free shave at home.
