I am soooo new to DE razor shaving - 3 successful shaves so far (only 1 nick.), but I am enjoying the time I spend with my new rituals so much, I know I am a permanent convert!
I have a Muhle R89 & a Merkur 37c Slant. The Slant is a touch on the aggressive side for me at the moment, but it DOES get the job done! I'm using a Feather blade in the R89, since that is a milder razor to counteract the mythical bloodthirstiness of the Feather blade! I have the Merkur blade that came with it loaded in the Slant, but I'll probably put a milder blade in there before I try it again...any suggestions?
Anyway - I'll probably ask some dumb questions until I learn more, but I am glad to have joined this community, this brotherhood even, of people in love with wet shaving.
I'm glad there are forums like this, for people like us, and I hope to learn much from everybody!
