Ah yes, the quintessential Gold Dollar #66... (£2.98 delivered!)
I had previously seen these on eBay when I bought my last shavette a few years ago but was put off by some comments I came across on some forums. I also didn't know where my hones would be and didn't fancy forking out for a bunch of things when the shavette has served me well for over a decade.
I take it these don't really come shave ready?
Although a bit rusty I have sharpened straights for over 10 years and seeing as I managed to sharpen a hunting knife enough to shave with I believe I can at least get is honed enough to use with what I have, are there any special things needed to get these shaving well or is it just a case of hone, strop and use as with other more expensive razors?
It still amazes me that these things can be made, advertised, sold and shipped for under £3
