I've been lurking for quite some time and gather insight from all of you. I just got my first DE in the mail today and was rather excited(still am). I went the cheap route for my first one and picked up a Feather Popular. It's no Merkur, but surprisingly it doesn't feel too cheap for the price.
I had about a day and a half of growth, loaded a Wilkinson and got after it. That razor bounced over every hair. Tossed all the Wilkinsons and put in a Bic. Still a little rough, but I've got a tough beard after WTG, XTG and ATG, my neck had quite a few new holes and I guess I'd call it a CCS, though it wasn't as comfortable as I'd have liked.
I'm looking forward to trying it again to see if I can screw up a little less.
