Two years ago when I joined B&B I'd spent decades trying to wet shave again. Despite using Trumpers cream and DE in a Gillette Super Adjustable (at lowest setting) and every cartridge razor that came along, every shave resulted in four days of red-raw recovery time, and having to use electric. Gillette Fusion finally enabled me to start wet shaving again, with both cartridge and DE.
So the other day I went and used my newly acquired Bulldog brushless cream which had given me a good shave two days before. But it was miserable, my Lord L6 razor and Shark blade were grating terribly. So I switched to my Jagger 89 with Dorco blade. It cut better, but still grated and I wound up with six nicks bleeding on my face, and heaps of alum stings.
Scratching my head as to what had happened as I was applying that alum, I picked up the Bulldog tube, only to find it wasn't the Bulldog tube but a very similar looking tube of sunscreen-moisturiser.
Very annoyed with myself, I prepared myself for the next three or four days of facial misery, and of my face looking red-raw with lots of fine pimples and bumps. But it didn't happen.
Thus, I don't appear to have sensitive skin anymore.
Has anybody else lost their sensitive skin too?
Or have you checked to see whether you've lost it by using some cream or soap which previously left your face miserable?
Regards,
Renato
