So smooth in fact the first try it slid right over my beard hair without cutting. I thought WTF, so I ran the razor down my finger and there was no catching, no sharpness to be felt. So I tried it a second time with a bit more pressure and this time it was cutting no problem. The more I used it the sharper it seemed to get. It seems that teflon coating needs to wear off a bit for the sharpness to come through.
As I was shaving this blade seemed super sharp and super smooth. I could hardly feel the blade doing it's work. I did get a bit more razor burn than I usually do though because of the extra pressure I had to use.
I wonder if this might actually be better in the EJ89 where a little extra pressure isn't going to be as much of a problem.
I was using my new Razorock TTO which I've only shaved with about 10 times so my absolute first thought was that I had the angle wrong but I dismissed that idea after testing the sharpness with my finger. And also I had about three days growth so that might have been part of it.
Any one else experience that with Voskhod?
BTW, I'm loving my new RR TTO but that is another post/review.
