I was rather inspired by Marco's steward interview. He has such a contagious passion about Simpsons brushes. Many have had some bad experiences with Simpsons including myself. I have two right now. I have a Duke 2 and a Wee Scot.
I haven't been using my Duke for a while now. It was my main brush for nearly a year straight when I first got it. Then, other brushes came along and the Duke was set aside. I've been enamored with Muhle's synthetics as of late, but with my STF on its way back to Germany for warranty replacement, I've been eyeing that Duke that's just sitting on my bathroom counter.
Last week I read Marco's steward interview, and his enthusiasm for Simpsons brushes got the better of me. I decided to pull out the Duke again this morning and give it a go. It really is a nice brush. I think I'll use it all week so I can get re-aquainted with it.
A lot of brushes have come and gone from my den, but this brush has always been there. It was a gift from my wife, so it will never be sold. Who knows, maybe my next brush purchase will be another Simpsons. There's just something classic about these brushes. Whenever I'm window shopping for brushes online, I always look over the Simpsons range.
