Semogue Owners Club 2 Band Badger HELP-BURN

I just purchased a new Semogue Owners Club 2 Band Badger based on reviews and needing a new brush. I bowl lather, but when applying the lather to my face and building the lather spending around a minute to a minute and a half. The problem I'm having with this brush after applying the lather to my face using the new brush, while shaving I get the feeling of burning, like there's an irritation to a shave soap. There's no redness, just the feeling. I've determined it has to be the new brush because I have a broken in boar (Semogue 830). Using the boar, I can bowl lather and face lather with the same shaving soaps without this burning effect while shaving. I've been lathering the Semogue Owners Club 2 Band Badger daily and sometimes twice daily since Jan. 21, 2016 to get it broken in.
My daily shave process includes:
Add water to the puck and put the brush in warm water.
Wash area to be shaved for 1-2 minutes with soap.
Rinse face, message in Proraso pre-shave.
Load brush 1-2 minutes depending on the soap brand.
Rinse face, and apply lather to face to build a thick face lather.
Shave (with Edwin Jagger DE89)

Soap brands I have used with both brushes to test this. No burning with the boar, but facial burning with the Semogue Owners Club 2 Band Badger (only while shaving).
Haslinger (my favorite)
Dr.Hassis
Arko

Thanks to all.

Can anyone give any suggestions? Does this brush need to be broken in? How long will it take?

Who are the Finest Custom Makers

I was able to gather a few of names where their work was impeccable. Any help would be greatly appreciated to compile a decent size list of custom straight razor makers. Those specifically who specialize in Damascus are preferred, though all comments welcomed.

An interesting read.

Rooney - why no European dealers?

I recently bought a Rooney Heritage Stubby 1. No complaints at all, it's a lovely brush. Possibly the best brush I own.

However, despite living in London, about 4 miles from Walthamstow where last last known registered office for Rooney was, I had to buy this brush from Fendrihan in Canada. The only resellers I could find were in North America.

Don't get me wrong, Fendrihan were great. But isn't it ridiculous that to get the brush, it had to first be shipped from the UK to Canada and then back to Camden Town? A 4 mile journey as the crow flies but a few thousand miles in actual terms... Surely there is a massive gap in the market for a UK dealer? Or even for a European dealer?

I'm well aware that Rooney, as a company, was wound up about 6 years ago. I have checked the companies house record. My only guess is that the director(s) (be it Lee Sabini or whoever else) now run the business as a sole trade or as a partnership. But notwithstanding that, it is simply bizarre than one cannot buy a supposedly British made product in Britain..?
