I used Nivea shave gel all last month and it was great.

Today I used Aveeno therapeutic shave gel for the first time and I like it even better.

I don't have any problems using soaps and creams, just wanted to try this out.

I used them with DE and SE razors for BBS face and head shaves everyday.

My new old Merkur Travel Razor, but how old?

I have been using a DE for a few months now and only own one proper razor. Well, until two days ago that is. I decided to visit a local antique shop for the first time in my life. I have never been into old stuff (stuff in general) until I discovered safety razors. Anyhow, the visit was successful as I acquired an old Merkur Travel Razor for just a tenner (pictures bellow).

I've been following B & B for a long time, a wonderful site. I would like to ask you, how do I go on? Buy Merkur 42C (closed comb), Merkur 33C, or Fatip Piccolo. I want to use Fatip Piccolo for further shaving. What do you think?

Arrived safe and sound. I have never seen a line that long; going through Passport Control. I think it was about a mile long. Cousin Rich was waiting for me, we had a smoke, then hit the road. For some reason, this is the first beer I had in England.


Not that I'm complaining.



Had it in this setting, my cousin's back yard.



It's going to be a good week here. Warwick Castle tomorrow, the Eye on Monday, pubs galore in between.
