Serial number gold toggle + instruction book/warranty card 1956/a-3 pics for wiki

I was looking the other day at the toggle wiki page, and saw pics of the 1958 gold toggle, and lower on the page the list of serial toggle owners with there serial numbers and names.. Cool! Unless i am missing something..there are no pictures of the serial toggle with the instruction book/cases and warranty card? Being the serial version is the crazy rare version and the first toggle, I think it should be pictured as well for reference, so all can see the difference between the two Gillette toggle versions. Whom ever add's to this wiki page, i am sure on of the owners/members would be glad to provide pics as the example. Thank you.

PS.. I think the Nickle toggle version should be added to the pics as well, so we see all 3 versions as complete sets, as they were in the day! That would be Awesome!

WTT: My Atlas for your Kronos

The title says most of the message. I'd like to trade my ATT Atlas handle for a Kronos handle. Nothing is wrong with the Atlas, and it's in the best possible condition. I've just decided that I prefer a longer handle.

Since both handles sell for the same price, a straight-up trade would make sense. But I'm doing the asking, and the Kronos handle is longer. So I'll add a pack of Gillette Silver Blues or Polsilvers (your choice).

First Time DE SHave

Hi All,

Was just bought my first DE shave kit for my birthday, EJ89 razor, EJ Best Badger brush, EJ Bowel and Sandlewood puck and stand.

I got a bunch of different blades, including Bic, Feather, Derby, Shark and a couple others.

Funnily enough, I have now decided to grow out my beard and so have only had to tidy up my neckline which I did about 15mins ago.

First pass with the grain went well with no problems. Second Pass I atttempted to go against the grain and ended upo with my razor looking like it was the key suspected murder weapon in a triple homicide, my neck being one of the victims.

I started with the BIC for the with grain pass which went well, although seemed to really tug on the against the grain pass which is where the damage was done. I naturally have quite thick facial hair and think perhaps the bic isn't sharp enough for my hair... thoughts?

Was the idea of going against the grain on the second pass the wrong idea? Also found I felt a lot of the time as though my angle was too steep, wiping away my lather without actually cutting... I couldn't decide if this was actually the case or if years of shaving with a cartridge with a lot of surface area on the skin has dulled my senses and the cutting from the single DE blade wasn't detected due to its minimal sensation while cutting...

Quick question, is there such a think as having too much lather on your face? Does this impact at all?

Interested in sticking around and learning more.

Oh I'm from NZ :)

Thanks

Goodwill Confirmation and Check Out This Handle!

I picked up a Goodwill this weekend; after scanning through several B&B threads I have come to the conclusion that it is a late 1931 model. If there are any Goodwill experts out there that could confirm that date I would greatly appreciate it.

On another note, when I found the Goodwill it was attached to the monster handle shown in the pics below. The handle itself measures just over 5.5" long!!!
