Took a Cooper Monobuilt I have had for awhile for a spin today. I hesitated to use this razor for the last year or so that I have had it because it had a small dent in the top cap that warped the blade on the one side. I spent time with a hammer and cushioned screwdriver tip and persuaded it back far enough that to the naked eye the blade appeared to be straight. The other thing with it is the blade appears to sit closer to the comb on the hinge side of the razor. Since I was going into work later than usual today and had extra time I decide to give it a go. Loaded it with a BIC Astor. Surprisingly good shave. Did not feel any irregularities with the blade as it appeared it would. Got a small weeper on my Adam's apple that closed up with a cold water rinse. 2 pass DFS with touch up. The head geometry is different than my vintage Gillette razors and Leads to a learning curve. It will not become a regular part of my rotation but a unique razor that is cool to play with and I am glad I have in my den.
