Well, after a hiatus of a few years, I'm back in the ballgame with traditional wet shaving! I discovered this site back in college, got all the gear, and "did the thing" for a few years. After college, I went back to a cartridge and canned gel for a few reasons - mainly lack of time and an abundance of hard water where I was living. I pulled out the old gear, bought some more (of course), and am now back at it.
I now keep a neatly trimmed beard (sorry that I'm not sorry...), so I have less real estate to shave and can also go longer between shaves while looking acceptable, which helps to solve the time issue. Also in the last year, I bought a house which does not have hard water, my lather is thankful.
I was always more of a lurker, but figured that I was due for a reintroduction!
