I hadn't used a Merkur blade in probably 3 years. I always liked them, except for the price, which is absolutely outrageous. I used one this morning in my Futur at 6. Excellent, smooth, irritation free shave, just like I remember them. I'll never understand the hatred for Merkur blades expressed by so many here, except for the cost. I find it to be as good as any blade I've used and better than most.
